“Share the Light” Referral Program – Terms and Conditions

Terms & Conditions
This document has been prepared on 9th October 2021 and all conditions are current as at this date.
For every referrer who passes on a ‘share the light’ email via the Spotee Connect platform to a non-client (a “Referred Client”), and then subsequently they become a client, then the Referrer is eligible for a one-month extension to their current Spotee Connect membership.
Terms for the “Share the Light” referral program
The Referrer must be a Spotee Connect member whose membership is current at the time the referral is made, this includes not cancelling their membership within the Spotee Connect system for a future date.
The Referred Client must be a new customer who has never been a member of Spotee Connect before.
The Referrer must use the ‘Share the Light’ referral process from within the Spotee Connect app. No verbal referrals, referrals not provided via the platform; or referrals provided after the Referred Client has already made an enquiry or has contacted us, are ineligible for the membership extension.
We DO NOT store the information of a Referred Client until they subscribe to Spotee Connect. Please see below how we handle their personal information.
For you to be eligible the Referred Client during the sign up process must identify you as the way they heard about our business.
The one-month membership extension is not transferable.
The one-month extension will commence at the end of the current membership. For example, if a Referred client joins on the 5th of the month, however the Referrer’s membership ends on the 17th, then the one-month extension for the Referrer will commence on the 17th.
The Referred Client and the Referrer cannot be the same person (for example, by using a different email address). We automatically disqualify suspicious referrals at our discretion.
Eligibility is limited to current members of Spotee Connect only. A Referrer cannot be a non-client.
There is no maximum amount of Referred Clients you can refer. Subject to you following these guidelines, you will receive one extra month membership for each Referred Client that comes on board as a member of Spotee Connect.
The Referrer, by completing this process, acknowledges that they have personal knowledge of the Referral Client they are referring.
You must comply with all up-to-date SPAM laws. That is why we limit you to sending one notification to one non-client at a time. Bulk email and distribution to those outside of your known network is strongly discouraged. Any distribution of our invitation that could constitute unsolicited commercial email or “spam” under any applicable law or regulation is expressly prohibited and will be grounds for immediate termination of your account and exclusion from Spotee’s ‘Share the Light’ referral program.
Spotee reserves the right to close the account(s) of any Referrer and/or Referred Client and to request proper payment if the Referrer and/or Referred Client attempts to use the “Share the Light” referral program in a questionable manner or breaches any of these Terms & Conditions or is in violation of any law, statute or governmental regulation.
Spotee reserves the right to cancel the “Share the Light” referral program or to change these Terms & Conditions at any time in its sole discretion. Any unclaimed referral reward will be forfeited at that time.
Storing Referred Client information
Within the Spotee Connect app, when you wish to send an email notice to a friend, family member or colleague you will be asked for the following information.
- Their first name
- Their email address
This is so that we can tailor the email notice to them.
Spotee DOES NOT store this information on our servers or any other storage device. We will not contact them in the future unless they respond and provide us their details themselves. We will NEVER use the information you have provided.
We do however let the Referred Client know that it was you who sent the email notice to them. We cannot remove this requirement.
